Week 9, final magazine

This week has been spent finalizing our magazines by completing any last minute improvements and double checking for any  previously unoticed mistakes just to make sure that the final magazines reached the highest standard that we could make them. On Wednesday of this week I eventually completed my final magazine and here are the images of my finished product...

I had been unsure of the front cover for a while so decided to bring back the setting behind the photo of Katie and I instantly felt happier about my work because I now think the cover looks more original and realistic. This week I also changed the cover from the rough cut by making the magazine title a brighter more noticeable colour to relate more to my style model of Rolling Stone. The magazine now also makes reference to the free posters inside and after I frequently experimented with the text colour the featured artists text is now in dark grey which is easier to read and it also provides a break from 'white text, blue text...'  The bar code has also been improved to look more realistic and I think that all these small changes have really helped to make the cover look more professional and complete.

I didn't have many improvements to make on the first draft of my contents page but I still took the feedback on board which meant that this week I enlarged the three 'free posters' to gain them more focus, I included branding of the magazine title and a page number and I 'justified' the cover story text to make it neater.

As you can see on the double page spread, I swapped some of the four images around to make "Love" more readable, I think this works well and I am happy with the end result of all my magazine pages and I am also proud that I completed this final magazine task on time.
